DOLLAR, DOLLAR, SLICE…Y’ALL
Dollar Slice NYC is an app that maps all of New York City’s $1 pizza spots.
From the Wall Street wolves to the penny pinching students, there is one thing that all New Yorkers can agree on: pizza is good…but cheap pizza is great.
The dollar pizza slice is the final frontier of meals one can buy with a single dollar bill. It is the perfect drunk snack, the quintessential quick lunch, and let’s be honest, decent substitute for breakfast. All New Yorkers have had one, and most have had many more.
The problem is, the dollar slice spots are sometimes hard to find. They usually have little-to-no online presence, and some of them don’t even have a visible names. They aren’t often on Yelp, and definitely don’t do any advertising. In response to the city-wide dearth of information, I decided to develop a website and app to help the hungry people of New York City find their dollar slice.

WILL DESIGN FOR PIZZA
The logo is a comedic take on the Great Seal from the back of the one dollar bill. I wanted the design to use popular iconography with a bit of cheekiness. The all-seeing Eye of God (or is it the eye of a hungry New Yorker?) scans the urban landscape from atop a cheesy slice.
